Origin

Dialecta begins in 2004 as a project that seeks to satisfy the needs of languages in the region. Ever since, our purpose has always been to give the best quality language services, attending the specific needs of the people, helping them achieve their objectives and goals personally and professionally. We guarantee that our clients will not only learn the language of their choice, but also will be able to be part of another culture and know and experience traditions and customs of the country where the language is spoken.

Type of Courses

Private Courses

Personalized classes, teacher-student only. The focus is on the learning objective of each student. Having the method as a base, the class adapts to cover the needs and interests of each person.

Group Courses

Small groups from 2 to 10 people maximum. Each student is given the time and attention to help him along his learning process. There is an opportunity to share ideas and doubts with classmates that enable better learning.

Kids Courses

Ages from 7-12 years old, teacher-student only. Designed specially for each kid with the appropriate method for his/her age.

Company Courses

Private classes (teacher-student) or group classes (2-15 people). The needs of each company are determined and a learning objective is defined to design and tailor the course to their needs.

Working Skills Courses

60-hour courses to understand and specialize in a working skill; telephoning, negotiations, meetings, presentations, emails, sales, etc.

Specialized and Business Courses

Courses focused on various industrial and commercial sectors. The topics, vocabulary and technical terms are exclusively from the sector or industry. For example: logistics, engineering, medicine, law, business, etc.

Additional Practices

Conversational Clubs: it’s the encounter of people interested in practicing a language and developing their communication abilities, in a pleasant and friendly atmosphere. A specific topic is suggested and the members of the club expand their vocabulary, gain fluency and ease in answering any type of conversation.

Experiential Courses: are programs based on hobbies, their objective is experimentation and practice of a certain language, favoring learning in an experience-based and fun way. For example; Yoga in English, where you can find a place to relax and practice the language at the same time.

Reading Clubs: gathers a group of people that read a concrete work of literature with the purpose of discussing what was read and practicing a language.

• Let loose, don’t be afraid of making mistakes, mistakes will help you correct and improve the language.

• Look for a friend to talk to in the language that you are studying.

• Be part of our Conversational Club, so you can practice various topics in a relaxed atmosphere with other people.

• Make YouTube videos about the topics that interest you in the language you study.

• Connect to Internet radio or download an App that will let you do this, so you can listen the language you study from the country of origin. (ex. radio.garden, tunein radio, radiotunes, etc.).

• Watch a movie in the language that you are studying without any subtitles.

• Watch YouTube videos of your interests in the language that you are studying.

• Listen to audiobooks. A great recommendation is audible.com or the App -Blinkist.

• Subscribe to a Podcast of the topic of your choice.

Reading

• Start with your textbook, is the trustworthiest text you have and it is structured specifically to take you from beginner to advance.

• Watch movies with subtitles in the language that you study.

• Read a book or story in the language and according to the level that you study. We invite you to explore in our library at Dialecta.

• Follow a blog on Internet in the language that you study.

• Follow newspapers on Twitter in the language that you study.

• Follow magazine and newspaper sites in social media and try to read articles that interest you and that are in your level. You can always start with the headlines.

Writing

• Start a blog on your favorite topic in the language that you study. To write you have to think in the appropriate words to express yourself, when you use it continuously, your vocabulary will expand.

• Start a journal with your activities and life impressions. Quantity doesn’t matter; the most important is to give it continuity.

• Use the language when you write supermarket lists or personal reminders.

• Look for a Pen Pal (on the internet) that is located in the country of the language you study.

Culture

• Look for YouTube videos of native people, now there are many vlogs (video blogs) about language learning that also show some specific aspects of culture.

• In your text books there are always parts focused on culture from the country where the language is spoken. You can always investigate a little more.

• You can follow web pages with cultural content in social media.

• Take part in cultural events that are organized in the city or State, it will be a great place to learn other cultures and know native people.

• Make an effort to speak with native people, you will see how they will see your effort and they will open up to share culture and traditions.
